Wreath and Tree Fund Raiser [06 Nov 2008|10:47am]

The holiday fundraiser brochures went home with the students on Nov. 3rd.  All orders are due on Tues. Nov. 18th.  Click on the “Trees and Wreaths” tab to view a full brochure and download extra order forms.  All students are expected to participate in this sale!  Those going on the New York City trip will receive a $10 credit to their account for each tree they sell, and a $5 credit for each wreath, centerpiece, or roping order they take.  Delivery is Thurs. MCHS Tiger Regiment District 13 Marching MPA Itinerary--Nov. 1st [29 Oct 2008|10:58am]
CARPOOL AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. 
Parking is at a premium

6:30 PM           Meet at JBHS in the South parking lot which has been reserved for us.                                    
7:30 PM           Move together to the Warm-up area

8:05 PM           Transition to the stadium

8:15 PM           Be in your line-up formation at the gate

8:20 PM           Performance

8:40 PM           Move to stands to watch the remaining performances

9:30 PM           Ratings

9:45 PM           Dismissed

Update for Rehearsals effective 10/14/08 [15 Oct 2008|10:59am]
Please note the following dates and times of rehearsals.  Both new and previously scheduled rehearsals are listed below:

Thursday, Oct. 16:  3:20 pm to 4:20 pm prior to the Homecoming Parade.  Take instruments home for the parada

Friday, Oct. 17:  Post Game Show:  Will perform the entire Wicked Show

Tuesday, Oct. 21:  6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.  Originally Scheduled

Thursday, Oct. 23:  12:15 pm to 1:15 - after exams prior to Jensen Game that evening.  Take instruments with you.  We will meet at JBHS

Friday, October 24:  6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  Originally Scheduled

Tuesday, Oct. 28:  6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  New Rehearsal

Thursday, Oct. 30:  6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  New Rehearsal

Friday, Oct. 31:  3:20 pm to 4:50 pm.  New Rehearsal

Martin County Band Booster Trees and Wreaths [29 Sep 2008|05:43pm]

Keep an eye out for information coming home on Nov. 3rd about our 2008 Holiday Fundraiser.  We will be selling Christmas trees, wreaths, centerpieces, and a new item - fresh garland roping.  Ellen Norris will be in charge this year, with Katie McFadden still helping in the background.  There is a lot to do and we need your help for this fundraiser to be successful!   Please e-mail or give Ellen a call.   e_a_norris@hotmail.com / H: 287-1255 / C: 285-3435

Symphonic Band Benefit Concert 5/10/08 [08 May 2008|06:32am]

The benefit concert on May 10th will be at North Stuart Baptist Church.

 

The church is located on US 1, about equal distance between the bridge and Jensen Beach Boulevard, on the WEST side of the street.

There will be no busses.  Students will wear concert attire.  The loading crew will be at MCHS at 5:30 and everyone else is to be at the church by 6:50 PM. Everyone is responsible for bringing their own instrument to the concert

There are 8 ensembles performing throughout the day/evening. The first event is at 12:00 Noon and the final event, The Martin County Symphonic Winds, will perform at 7:30 PM.

There is no charge for the concert, but donations are being accepted since this is a fund raiser for a breast cancer patient - Sharon Jewett.

Food will also be available for purchase.

 10:55--Report to Band Room.  Eat lunch/ load equipment, change into Concert Attire
11:45--Depart for Vero Beach High School in Concert Attire
1:00 ---Arrive at VBHS
1:15--In auditorium to hear bands
3:30--Leave Auditorium; prepare for warm-up
4:10--Warm up
5:00--Performance
5:40--Clinic
6:15--Load Busses
6:30--Dinner en route.  Bring $$$ for dinner
7:15pm--Head for Home
8:22--Arrive at MCHS.  Put all stuff away and go home!!

Band Fundraiser Sales [26 Nov 2007|10:47am]
 
The holiday fundraiser sales went very well.  We sold 120 trees, 141 decorated wreaths,
104 plain wreaths and 57 centerpieces.  We also took orders for 202 gift wreaths and 44 gift centerpieces. 
Way to go students and parents!
 
Now we'll need your help on pick-up night, December 6th from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.   Please contact
Katie McFadden at 2 or at bjmcf@comcast.net  We have a lot of wreaths 88-1154and centerpieces to
distribute and we'll need some strong bodies to load trees into customers' cars.  We also have
34 trees to be delivered, so please let Katie know if you have a truck or a flat bed and could help with
deliveries.

Tree and Wreath Sale [24 Oct 2007|05:24am]
 
The MCHS Band will once again be selling Christmas trees, wreaths and centerpieces for our holiday fundraiser.  The fundraiser brochures will be going home with the students on October 30th, so please watch for those.  Final orders are due November 13th and the delivery date is December 6th. 
 
Since we will not be doing the gift wrap booth at the mall this year, we need to make this fundraiser a success!   However, we cannot accomplish that without your help.  Contact your family and friends.  Those living out of town may go to www.mcbbinc.homestead.com/wreaths.html to view a brochure and download an order form.  Have your son or daughter ask the neighbors.  Take the brochure to work.  Let me know if you can leave some flyers on a counter or if you can hang up a poster.

 The September Band Booster meeting will be held on 9/10 at 7pm in the Band Room.  Please plan on attending; we need everyone's participation!

Christmas Tree and Wreath Sale [20 Aug 2007|12:58pm]

Keep an eye out for information coming home next month about our main fundraiser of the year – the Christmas tree and wreath sale. 

We will once again be selling fresh trees and wreaths shipped directly from Nova Scotia.  We need your help to make this fundraiser a success!  E-mail Katie McFadden at bjmcf@comcast.net and let her know you can lend a hand.   

Tiger Regiment--Band Booster Meeting 8/9 [07 Aug 2007|03:22pm]

We will be having our first Band Booster meeting on Thursday, August 9 in the Band Room.  All Freshman and new parents should plan to be there at 6:30 for orientation.  The regular meeting begins at 7pm.  Hope to see everyone there!!

Blast Off!!!! [01 Aug 2007|08:23am]

Get ready for Blast Off--starts 8/6 and runs through 8/10.  All Tiger Regiment members must attend, including Musicians, Guard and Tigerettes!!

We desperately need volunteers for dinner service to assist with set up, serving and clean up.  We need ten parents each night, so please call Judy Edelman at 287-1801 or Sherry Glancy at 286-9037 to sign up.

First Band Booster meeting for 2007-2008 will be held in the Band Room at 7pm on 8/9--please join us in what should be great year!!!

Band Banquet! [08 May 2007|05:22pm]
Band Banquet Notes:

Hope you've all decided what you're bringing to the banquet this Friday may 11th.  Just bring an amount of your item that will feed 10-15 people.  Don't worry....there will be plenty for everyone!

Have had some questions about how to dress....in the past, the girls have come in nice dresses/skirts/slacks and the boys in trousers, shirts and ties.  Parents came in business casual or "nice"  clothes. 

Looking forward to seeing all of you there!!

Band Booster meeting 5/14 [08 May 2007|05:21am]
Please make sure you attend our last band Booster meeting of the year on 5/14 at 7pm in the Band Room.  This will be our opportunity to meet some of the incoming Freshmen parents and their students--we all need to be on hand to give them a warm welcome.  Immediately following the meeting, we will have refreshments and chamber music beginning at 7:45--what a wonderful way to end up the year!  Hope to see all of you there!

Symphonic Band Itinerary

 

7:45 AM - Report to Band Room – Organize, load Equipment, etc.

                        WEAR THURSDAY ATTIRE – NO FLIP FLOPS!!!!!

8:45 AM - Depart for Northport High School

         Lunch Enroute – Bring money  (lunch may be sort of early)

12:30PM - Arrive - Change into Concert Attire, unload, etc.

1:00 PM - In Auditorium – Listen to 3 bands.  Check acoustics!

3:10 PM - Move to Warm-up.

3:50 PM - Performance on Stage

4:30 PM - Student Conductor/Clinic

5:00 PM - Load Equipment and Busses – Change into Thursday Attire – NO                                                    FLIP FLOPS!!!!!

5:30 PM - Go to Mall for dinner (not for shopping)- You need money.

6:30 PM - Load Up. Head for home.

9:45 PM - Return to MCHS.  Unload.  Put everything away.

 

 

 

 

 

Booster Meeting TONIGHT!!!!! [09 Apr 2007|08:45am]

It snuck up on us.......but it's here!  VERY IMPORTANT.....electing officers for the next year tonight.

Careful, sometimes you get elected when you're not there (:}), so join us and help us fill positions!

Find out how we did at the Silent Auction, help plan for May activities, get the latest dates from Mr. Roadman.

Mets Concession on 3/24 9:30am--4pm!!! [20 Mar 2007|08:56am]
We still need help!!!  We need 4 cooks, 8 cashiers, and 4 helpers at the very least!  Kids can be helpers too.  Please call Sherry Glancy at 772-286-9037 to sign up.

Silent Auction [14 Mar 2007|05:24am]
We still need about 6 to 8 adults  to help during dinner for the Silent Auction on 3/17.  They should be there at 4:30pm and remain for the duration of the dinner.  We also need a few people to assist in inflating the helium balloons at 3pm.  Please call Dot Galfond to sign up at 223-4100.  Thanks!!!

Sousa Concert [14 Mar 2007|05:22am]
The date of the Sousa concert has been changed from 4/24 to 4/19.  It begins at 7:00pm.  The concert band will be joining the symphonic band for this event, to be held in the auditorium.  Please make sure you have this on your calendar!!
